"Georgia Starts Here" is an online platform dedicated to showcasing all things Georgia, from travel tips and top destinations to articles and the finest travel experiences. I was tasked with rebranding this platform, and I approached it with the idea of a brand being like a guide or pointer for tourists. Thus, I developed a concept based on bookmarks, which not only guide and mark important pages but also serve as a reminder of where readers left off and where they should continue.
If we envision Georgia as a large book, it's logical for a brand like "Georgia Starts Here" to transform into its own bookmark. This bookmark, now the logo, can be placed visually anywhere to remind everyone where to "read" and explore more. For the style, I incorporated the shape of an open book spread, which acts as a placeholder for any kind of content.
The logo-bookmark shape serves as a versatile canvas for printing various illustrations, which can then be used functionally as a real bookmark. This duality makes it a stylish and practical accessory. Below are some illustrations I've created to showcase this potential.
